The Czech Republic 200 korun silver coin 2010 commemorates the 700th anniversary of the wedding of John of Luxembourg and Elisabeth of Bohemia, a dynastic union concluded in 1310 that significantly influenced the history of the Czech lands. Their marriage strengthened political ties and marked the beginning of the Luxembourg dynasty’s rule in Bohemia.
The obverse depicts a medieval bridal scene: a man and a woman in long historical garments stand facing each other, gently holding hands in a ceremonial gesture. The background is filled with a decorative pattern of small heraldic motifs, enhancing the Gothic atmosphere. Around the rim runs the commemorative inscription with the dates 1310–2010. The reverse features a heraldic lion in dynamic pose at the center, surrounded by an ornamental field of repeating symbols. The inscription “ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA” and the denomination “200 Kč” encircle the composition, completing the balanced design.
Struck in silver in Proof quality and certified PCGS PR70 DCAM, this coin represents a perfect Deep Cameo grade with sharp relief and mirrored fields. A refined tribute to medieval history and royal heritage, it is a distinguished addition for collectors of European historical commemoratives.
