This 1926 Czechoslovakia 1 dukat gold coin, KM-8, honors Saint Wenceslaus, the revered patron saint of the Czech lands. Certified PCGS MS65, this historic issue combines medieval symbolism with the artistic heritage of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The obverse portrays Saint Wenceslaus standing in armor and a flowing cloak, holding a banner and resting his hand on a shield bearing the Bohemian lion. A halo surrounds his head, while inscriptions and a beaded border frame the design. The reverse features the crowned double-tailed Bohemian lion holding the Slovak shield, surrounded by decorative heraldic details, the country's name, and the date 1926. Saint Wenceslaus, a 10th-century Duke of Bohemia, became a lasting symbol of Czech statehood and national identity. Struck in gold, this beautifully preserved MS65 example offers historical significance and outstanding collector appeal.
