The Cyprus 2 Pounds Millennium 2000 silver coin, KM-73a, celebrates the arrival of a new millennium through an extraordinary modern design. Certified PCGS MS70, this exceptional commemorative combines geometric artistry with ancient Cypriot heritage. Its distinctive hourglass-shaped silver centerpiece features a textured, hammered surface. One side displays the Greek inscription ΧΙΛΙΕΤΙΑ, the year 2000, and MILLENNIUM in stylized lettering. The opposite side presents ΚΥΠΡΟΣ, KIBRIS, CYPRUS, the denomination £2, and the national coat of arms depicting a dove carrying an olive branch above 1960, enclosed by a laurel wreath. The surrounding translucent sections create a striking contrast with the sculpted metal. Issued to mark the historic transition into the 21st century, this innovative coin symbolizes peace, national identity, and the passage of time. Its flawless PCGS MS70 certification makes it a remarkable addition to any collection of Cypriot silver and millennium commemoratives.
