The souvenir gilded bar shows one of the cruelest African predators, a crocodile. It’s called the King of Africa and the inscription is placed under the image of the dangerous reptile. The words above the image state the country of issuing – South Africa. The opposite side of the rectangular token bears the image of springbok antelope similar to the one which is placed on the reverse of the Krugerrand, a golden investment coin of South African Republic. The inscription above the image is an Afrikaans words for “South African Krugerrand”. There are the legends below the image of the antelope explaining the rate of the covering gold, its weight and the serial number of the piece. The token is a souvenir one, but fine precious golden plating and high quality of mintage make it extremely beautiful.
