The gilded coin-like token dedicated to one of the oldest and most beautiful Russian towns, Suzdal. The town has numerous beautiful ancient Orthodox churches and cathedrals which attract many tourists to the place. Suzdal is a part of the Golden Ring of Russia with some of its buildings included to the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. The round depicts the most recognizable historical buildings of the town; there are Suzdal’s Kremlin, St. Lazarus’ Church and Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral in particular. The relief images of the buildings are placed together on the one side of the souvenir token, the name of the town in Russian is struck above the view. The image is surrounded by the intricate ornament which goes along the rim of the piece. The opposite side contains the Coat of Arms of Russia and the name of the country below it. The same ornament along the edge is placed here too.
