The Cook Islands 5 Dollars 2010 “Fourth Crusade 1202” silver coin is a dramatic historical issue dedicated to one of the most decisive events of the medieval Crusades. Struck in fine silver with an antique-style finish, this powerful commemorative highlights the leadership of Henricus Dandulus, Doge of Venice, and the naval campaign that shaped European history.

The reverse presents an intricate high-relief scene of the siege, with crusader ships, masts and sails, banners flying above crowded decks, soldiers in armor, ladders raised against fortified city walls, and detailed battlements stretching across the horizon. To the right stands a portrait of Henricus Dandulus in ceremonial attire, his robe decorated with floral ornaments and a traditional ducal cap. The inscription FOURTH CRUSADE 1202 arches above, while below appear HENRICUS DANDULUS DOGE OF VENICE, the Jerusalem cross emblem, and the date 2010.

The obverse features the inscription HISTORY OF THE CRUSADES, a crusader flag bearing a cross, and a cross planted on a hill. At the center is a circular medallion with the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by ELIZABETH II COOK ISLANDS and the denomination 5 DOLLARS.

Rich in historical symbolism and detailed artistry, this 2010 silver coin is an impressive addition for collectors of medieval, military, and crusader-themed numismatics.
