    The silver commemorative coin of the Cook Islands is dedicated to the famous literator Boris Pasternak. He is one of the most significant writers of the period called the Silver Age of poetry in Russia. Boris Pasternak is world famous due to his novel “Doctor Zhivago” for which he gained the Nobel Prize. The colored portrait of Pasternak is shown on the reverse side of the commemorative 2-dollar coin of the Cook Islands.
