The coin of the Cook Islands has the denomination of 10 dollars and depicts the famous Kiev’s landmark, the Great Belltower of Kiev Pechersk Lavra. The building is among the most recognizable features of the city’s skyline. It was constructed in 1745 and was the tallest towers free-standing one of that time. Nowadays it’s the tourist attraction and the Classical style of architecture example. The stunning collectible coin was minted in 2008 in total quantity of only 500 pieces. The Great Lavra Belltower is depicted in color on the reverse side of the coin. The name of the monastery in Russian is indicated along the upper border of the coin while the name of the belltower is placed near the image. The opposite side of the collectible coin shows the profile effigy of the Queen along with the issuing information and the coin’s denomination.
