The collectible silver coin of the Congo Republic is dedicated to the most venerated East Orthodox Church feast of Easter. The holiday is celebrated in spring with distinct traditions by all Christians. The East Slavs and some other Orthodox Churches of the nearby regions usually cook the traditional Easter bread called kulich and colored eggs. The colorized image on the coin’s reverse displays the traditional view of the Easter table with kulich and eggs on the plate. The other symbols of Orthodox Easter is shown along, they are church’s domes with crosses and the “XB” letters meaning the traditional greeting “Christ is Risen!” The full greeting in Old Church Slavic language is minted by the upper rim of the coin above the image. The obverse of the coin shows the Coat of Arms of the issuing country and its name placed around it. The denomination of the coin is 1000 francs CFA; it is stated below the emblem on the obverse too.
