The Belarus 20 Roubles “Church of the Savior, Polotsk” 2003, graded PR70 PCGS, is a flawless silver coin dedicated to one of the most significant monuments of Belarusian medieval architecture. The reverse presents a detailed depiction of the Spasa-Praabrazhenskaya Church in Polotsk, with its tall façade, narrow arched windows, domed tower and precise stonework relief. The building’s proportions are faithfully rendered, capturing the elegance of 12th-century ecclesiastical design. To the left appear Belarusian inscriptions referencing Polotsk and national architectural heritage, along with a small oval cartouche marked XII, highlighting the church’s historical era. The obverse features the coat of arms of Belarus, including the radiant rising sun, wreaths of wheat and clover, a ribbon with the country’s name and the five-pointed star above. Around the rim run the inscriptions РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ, ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ, the purity Ag 925, and the year 2003, framed by ornamental edging. As part of a cultural-themed series, this coin offers exceptional aesthetic clarity and historical significance, making it a standout piece for collectors of architectural motifs and certified Belarusian issues.
