The Belarus 20 Rubles silver coin 2009 was issued to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of the reserved regime in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, one of Europe’s most ancient forest areas. The obverse shows the national emblem of the Republic of Belarus, inscriptions “РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ,” the year “2009,” the denomination “20 РУБЛЁЎ,” and the hallmark “Ag 925.” In the center is a symbolic tree cross-section with annual rings, each inscribed, surrounded by radiating lines symbolizing the passing of centuries. The reverse presents a large oak tree with spreading branches, into which images of forest fauna are integrated: European bison, elk, deer, wolf, and birds. Around the edge runs the inscription “БЕЛАВЕЖСКАЯ ПУШЧА • 600 ГОД ЗАПАВЕДНАМУ РЭЖЫМУ.” The design highlights biodiversity and the long tradition of environmental protection. Struck in Proof quality, sterling silver, and certified PCGS PR70DCAM, this coin represents both natural heritage and numismatic artistry.
