The 1913 Bulgaria 10 Stotinki “Ferdinand I” coin reflects the elegant royal style of the Kingdom of Bulgaria during the reign of Tsar Ferdinand I, a ruler associated with national consolidation and cultural revival. The obverse features the Bulgarian royal coat of arms: a crowned shield bearing the rampant lion, symbolizing courage and statehood. The ornate crown above the shield includes a central cross and jewelled detailing. Surrounding the emblem is the inscription “България – Съединението прави силата”, the national motto meaning “Unity Makes Strength”, while a beaded rim frames the entire composition.
The reverse presents a beautifully crafted wreath encircling the denomination 10 СТОТИНКИ and the date 1913. The left side is formed by oak leaves symbolizing strength, while the right branch—made of laurel and wheat—represents victory and prosperity. At the base, intertwined roses add a distinctly Bulgarian ornamental flourish. The finely grained background highlights the details of each leaf and bud.
Composed of copper-nickel and certified PCGS MS62, this coin retains sharp details, natural patina and strong original character. It is a desirable addition for collectors of Balkan history, royal-era Bulgarian numismatics and classic early-20th-century European coins.
