The 1913 Bulgaria 10 Stotinki “Ferdinand I” coin is a classic example of royal Bulgarian numismatics from the early 20th century. Issued under Tsar Ferdinand I, it reflects the monarchic symbolism and national identity of the period. The obverse features the crowned Bulgarian coat of arms, with a bold rampant lion standing within a shield. Above it rests the elaborate royal crown, decorated with a central cross and bead-like ornamentation. Around the emblem runs the inscription “България – Съединението прави силата”, the national motto meaning “Unity Makes Strength”. A dotted rim completes the composition.
The reverse displays the denomination 10 СТОТИНКИ and the date 1913, surrounded by a beautifully crafted wreath. On the left, oak leaves symbolize resilience and national strength, while the right side features laurel and wheat leaves, representing victory and prosperity. The wreath is tied together with roses at the base, adding a distinct Bulgarian flourish. The lightly aged patina enhances the relief and gives the coin historical character.
Certified PCGS MS62, this copper-nickel issue preserves strong detail and appealing natural toning, making it a desirable piece for collectors of Balkan royal coinage, heraldic designs and early 20th-century European numismatics.
