This 1992 Bulgaria 100 Leva “Radetsky Steamship” silver coin pays tribute to one of the most symbolic vessels in Bulgarian history — the steam liner Radetsky, forever associated with the national revival hero Hristo Botev and the events of 1876. The obverse presents a detailed depiction of the Radetsky ship, with its paddle wheels, multi-deck structure, rigging, masts, and fluttering flag. The inscription „Корабът Радецки“ and the date 1876 emphasize the historical episode when Botev and his detachment boarded the ship to join the April Uprising. Beneath the scene appears a small scroll, symbolizing revolutionary ideals.
The reverse features the classic Bulgarian commemorative wreath composed of roses, buds, leaves and ribbon, framing the inscriptions „Република България“, the denomination 100 Лева, and the year 1992. Struck in silver with a brilliant Proof Deep Cameo finish, the coin shows strong contrast between frosted designs and mirror fields. Graded PCGS PR64DCAM, it remains an appealing collectible combining national history, maritime heritage and numismatic artistry. A meaningful addition for collectors of Bulgarian historical themes and world ship-themed silver issues.
