A new coin.
This 1912 Bulgaria 1 Stotinka bronze coin, certified PCGS MS63BN, represents the late-issue coinage of King Ferdinand I, the ruler who guided Bulgaria through modernization and into the Balkan Wars era. Despite its small denomination, the coin carries rich historic and artistic value, especially in this Mint State preservation.
On the obverse, the design features the Bulgarian coat of arms used during Ferdinand’s reign. At its center stands the heraldic lion, framed by an ornate shield topped with a royal crown. Decorative flourishes and a beaded rim emphasize the regal aesthetics typical of early 20th-century Bulgarian numismatics. The sharpness of the devices and the smooth brown toning highlight the well-preserved original surfaces.
The reverse displays the denomination “1 СТОТИНКА”, positioned above the date 1912. Surrounding it is a carefully engraved wreath of laurel and oak branches, symbols of victory, strength, and national identity. The wreath is tied with a small ribbon at the bottom, and berry clusters fill the lower field, adding further ornamental detail.
Struck in bronze and graded MS63BN, this example features strong luster for the type and clear definition of every detail. A desirable collectible for enthusiasts of Bulgarian monarchic coinage, early 20th-century bronzes, and historic Balkan issues.
