This impressive Germany Weimar Republic Bismarck–Hindenburg silver medal, struck in Berlin in 1931 and certified PCGS SP64, honors two of the most influential figures in modern German history: Otto von Bismarck and Paul von Hindenburg. Combining political symbolism, national heritage, and remarkable medallic artistry, this piece reflects the patriotic themes that remained important during the final years of the Weimar Republic.

The obverse features finely sculpted conjoined portraits of Bismarck and Hindenburg facing right. Bismarck is shown with his distinctive bald head and prominent mustache, while Hindenburg appears behind him with his characteristic military haircut and sweeping mustache. An oak branch below the portraits symbolizes strength, endurance, and German tradition. The reverse presents a central patriotic inscription surrounded by a decorative ring of numerous heraldic shields representing German states, cities, and regional traditions. Visible are crowned coats of arms, eagles, lions, keys, crosses, striped shields, floral emblems, and other heraldic devices, creating a rich mosaic of German historical identity. The circular arrangement gives the medal an architectural appearance while emphasizing national unity.

Otto von Bismarck (1815–1898), known as the “Iron Chancellor,” was the architect of German unification in 1871. Paul von Hindenburg (1847–1934), military commander and later President of Germany, was one of the most recognizable political figures of the early twentieth century. This medal commemorates their lasting influence on German statehood and national memory.

Struck in silver and certified PCGS SP64, this scarce Berlin-issued medal is an outstanding addition for collectors of German history, political memorabilia, heraldry, and Weimar-era exonumia.
