A coin with some micro scratches, a capsule (please, check photos).
The 1986 Bahrain 5 Dinars KM-13 silver coin was issued for the WWF wildlife conservation program and celebrates the Arabian oryx, one of the most recognizable desert mammals of the Arabian Peninsula. The wildlife side presents a finely modeled oryx in motion across rocky desert terrain, its slender body, raised foreleg, long tail and distinctive swept-back horns rendered in sharp relief. Small desert plants and stones complete the natural habitat, while the denomination, country, year and Arabic elements frame the scene. The opposite side features a large left-facing portrait of Emir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa wearing traditional Gulf attire, including a head covering secured by an agal, with detailed facial features and patterned garment borders. The mirrored fields and frosted relief create an elegant Proof-style contrast. Struck in silver, this attractive conservation issue combines Bahrain history, Arabian fauna, desert wildlife and classic 1980s commemorative coinage.
