A new coin.
The 2004 Bahrain 100 Fils bimetallic coin, certified PCGS MS67, commemorates the 1st Bahrain Grand Prix. On the obverse (ring legend) appear the separate inscriptions “KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN”, “2004”, “1425”, and “1st BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX”; at center is a geometric emblem used for the Grand Prix, all set within the golden outer ring and silver-toned core. The reverse shows the denomination as a large “100” with the Arabic word فلس (fils) crossing the two zeros on a horizontal bar. An ornamental linked border runs around the design; there are no English words on this side. Issued to mark Bahrain’s debut on the Formula 1 calendar—the first F1 race held in the Middle East—this coin captures a key moment in the kingdom’s modern history. Technicals: bimetallic (golden outer ring, silvery center), Uncirculated (MS) strike, PCGS MS67, year 2004; thematic program: 1st Bahrain Grand Prix. An eye-catching piece for collectors of motorsport, bimetal coins, and Middle Eastern issues.
