The Armenia 100 Dram silver coin of 2008 is part of the Red Book of Armenia series, dedicated to the preservation of rare species. This edition highlights the Mouflon (Capra aegagrus), a wild goat with impressive spiraled horns and an emblem of strength and freedom in the mountainous regions of the Caucasus. The reverse presents the animal in a natural rocky landscape, its muscular body and long horns engraved with superb precision. Above the scene is the Latin name Capra aegagrus along with Armenian inscriptions, linking the scientific classification with national heritage. The obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia supported by eagle and lion, surrounded by inscriptions “Republic of Armenia”, the face value of 100 Dram and the year 2008. Struck in proof silver, this coin received the highest grade PR70 Deep Cameo from PCGS, confirming its flawless state and mirror-like surfaces. It represents not only a numismatic rarity but also a message of wildlife conservation and respect for Armenia’s natural legacy.
