The commemorative silver coin Abkhazia 10 Apsars 2013, graded PCGS PL70, pays tribute to Sergey Petrovich Dbar (1946–2002) — outstanding commander and Hero of Abkhazia. The obverse depicts his dignified profile portrait encircled by inscriptions in Abkhaz language, including his name “Дбар С.П.” and the dates 1993 – Аиаира – 2013, marking the 20th anniversary of the Abkhaz victory in the Patriotic War. Small decorative stars emphasize his heroic legacy. The reverse features a radiant composition symbolizing victory and renewal: stylized rays spreading outward, a laurel wreath with Roman numerals “XX”, the Abkhaz coat of arms on the right, denomination 10 Псарк, and the inscription “Апсны Абанк”, along with the year of issue 2013.
Dbar, one of the most prominent Abkhaz military leaders, played a decisive role during the 1992–1993 war, later serving as Chief of General Staff. His strategic brilliance and loyalty to Abkhazia made him a national symbol of courage.
Minted in silver with a mirror-like Prooflike finish and certified PL70 by PCGS, this flawless coin represents both historical significance and numismatic rarity.
